Scholarships
Applications for 2024-25 scholarships are due on or before November 1, 2024.

AFWA Ames Chapter #158 has awarded chapter scholarships to local students each year since 1994.

The deadline for the 2024-25 scholarships is November 1, 2024. Applications are being accepted for: (1) the 2024-25 Beverly M. Wandling Memorial Scholarship, and (2) the 2024-25 Kathleen M. Strum Memorial Scholarship. Click here to read about Beverly Wandling and Kathleen Strum.

To be considered for the Beverly M. Wandling Memorial Scholarship, an applicant must:  1. Be a resident of or attend college in Story, Boone, or Marshall Counties of Iowa; 2. Be a full- or part-time student with a declared major in accounting or finance in a two-year, four-year, or master's program; 3. Be committed to the mission of AFWA and exhibit enthusiasm for the accounting or finance professions.

To be considered for the Kathleen M. Strum Memorial Scholarship, an applicant must:  1. Be a non-traditional student; 2. Major in accounting; 3. Be a resident of or attend college in Story, Boone, or Marshall Counties of Iowa; and 4. Support her family with one or more children.
